Soon after, Master Bruce came to Chinatown, Melbourne and trained at the headquarters of the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association in 1983 with the head instructor, Grandmaster William Cheung.
Master Bruce then trained in Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu, directly under Grandmaster William Cheung for the next 20 years. He was promoted to Gold Sash instructor level in 1990, where he began teaching as the head instructor of the World Wing Chun Kung Fu Association in Melbourne, Australia.
After competing in Kickboxing and Sanda, he furthered his training in Tai Chi and various Kung Fu weapons under World Wushu champion Master Liang Chang Xing. Over the past 25 years, Master Bruce has conducted many overseas seminars, organised local and national martial arts tournaments, and has trained numerous state and national champions.
Heβs been the trainer and coach of athletes representing Australia at the 2013 World Games in Malaysia, 2014 Junior World Games in Turkey, and 2014 Junior Youth Olympics in Nanjing China.
